This is a guidline to reduce the amount of work and frustration involved for both parties, developers and users.
Follow these three small steps for a flawless and satisfying workflow and quick solution to your issues!
Before posting an issue
- This is a free service, use it in respect to other volunteers free time work.
- Try running the game without any additional mods / addons - Many times incompatible addons are the root-cause of issues.
- Make sure the bug you are going to report is NOT caused by a mission you played.
- Make sure the bug you are going to report is NOT present in the Vanilla game (Arma2/Operation Arrowhead without any mods).
Required steps for posting an issue
- Use English when using this service. Reports in languages other than English will be deleted.
- Choose a short and descriptive title for your issue
- Explain your issue in one sentence
- Use a simple bullet-point list to further describe your issue with following information:
Reproduction steps: What to do for the bug to happen?
Results: What is the bug?
Desired results: How should it behave once the bug is fixed?
- Always attach your RPT-file, reports without a RPT will NOT be processed
- Always attach a mission (Reproduction Mission) where the bug is reproduceable [only on the default islands from the game]
- Always attach screenshots in JPG format
After posting an issue
- Keep track of the ticket and responses
There could be requests for more details
There could be workarounds / fixes offered to you to try out
- Keep in mind: Abandoned tickets will be deleted after 14 days!
