  • This document can be used as basis for why tickets are accepted, rejected, etc. Also useful for contributors/devs.

     

    This is a work in progress mod. Even after 1.0, we will continue. Please treat the ACE as such. Our timelines are not days - think weeks, months, years.

    We rely on both our own content, and 3rd party content, especially regarding models. Not all model requests are possible to achieve, and certainly not in any short timespan.

    ACE is not intended as a "Combination of All Mods", nor is it intended to be configurable to the extreme.

    Where we believe it to be reasonable ( our definition of reasonable ), we certainly do what we can. But there are definite areas and features that will not be alterable.

    ACE does however strive for general compatibility, for example by using CBA So that Community/Server owners and players can combine other addons/mods with ACE, while retaining compatibility where possible.

    Our primary focus is on systems that enhance gameplay.

     

    Preamble

    • When realism matters.
    • Advanced Combat Environment: Tactical and useful features that are common on the battle field.
    • Utmost realistic simulation of infantry combat compared to the original game.
    • Balance is the responsibility of the Mission Maker / Server owner / Player.
    • We provide a platform, which we try to model as authentic (close to real-life) as possible.

    Chronological focus of units and equipment

    • 2007 - 2010.
    • Exceptions for non-common equipment used by non regular armies such as insurgents.
    • Limited assets due to required models.

    Factions and nations depicted in ACE

    • USMC.
    • US Army.
    • Basic Takistani Army / Insurgents etc
    • Basic Germany / UK BAF / UN
    • Russian Army.
    • Insurgents (wide variety possible).
    • No allied nations prior to the above mentioned.

    Excluded and unwanted content

    • Excessive depiction of gore, like Dismemberment.
    • Children.
